Do you have to pay midwives? Or how does this profession earn a living? It's similar to a domestic helper, right?

Wow, okay?! So that's still in people's minds about midwifery 🤯 Something similar happened to me, too, for example, whether I could accompany people to appointments at the registry office as a midwife. But it's super interesting... a reflection of society that we still seem to be viewed more as domestic help than medical professionals. How, then, can midwifery pay and working conditions improve as a demand from society as a whole?
